The video of Alfred Hermida’s presentation at the International Symposium on Online Journalism at UT Austin in April 2011 is now available. The talk draws on the research for the Participatory Journalism book. In the presentation, Prof Hermida suggests that journalists view audiences as “active recipients”, somewhere between passive receivers and active creators of content.
